Yoga Smart at Crescent Valley High School!
Love Yoga’s pilot program Yoga Smart began with Pioneer K-8 in Lebanon, Oregon. As interest from other schools began to grow we began offering introductory workshops to all ages. We participated in a workshop at Crescent Valley High School last spring and we will now be offering a free yoga session during their alternative options period on campus.
Practicing yoga with these students has been fantastic! The response has been overwhelmingly positive from all involved: children, teachers and parents as well!
We are honored to be able share this practice and help others find some strength, peace, resilience and happiness!

Pioneer kids are Yoga Smart!
Over 35 kids showed up for our first day at Pioneer K-8 school in Lebanon! Looks like we’ll be needing more mats! Led by Kathy Clunes, 4th grade teacher at Pioneer, everyone moved, stretched, breathed, balanced and rested! Luckily we had two volunteers from the high school to help out and we very much appreciated their presence!
Thursday afternoons at Pioneer have become so much more than we expected! Thanks to a great group of kids, teachers, volunteers, parents and administration. Sharing yoga with kids at such a young age is priceless!

YogaSmart at Love Yoga in Albany: Kid’s Workshops in September!
Hello Yogi’s!
I want to invite all of you to our YogaSmart workshops on September 7th and September 21st from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at Love Yoga in Albany. We will go on an adventure together as we move our bodies and calm our minds. Lots of creative movement, storytelling, imaginations in action, and some special treats to finish it all off!
This class is designed for kids 6-10 along with their parents! Cost is $10! Giggles, laughter, smiles, and kindness are free!
I will be your YogaSmart Guide. As a Registered Yoga Teacher and 4th Grade Teacher at Pioneer School in Lebanon, I have a passionate belief that Yoga is a wonderful way to guide children toward kindness, compassion, movement, joy, and love. We will have fun as we foster kind thoughts, kind words, and kind hearts!
